Years ago, God gathered a group of 5 people together to learn how to hear Him, pray, and change the world. It started with praying for a friend with a health condition. Each of us stepped outside our comfort zone as we explored the unique gifting God placed in each of us to experience Him. We shared our individual experiences and what He was communicating through the unique ‘flavor’ of each of our gifting and as we did His ‘message’ made more sense to us.
Together we saw the fullness of what God was sharing with us.
Over the years we have tackled many issues within our group and discovered the group has a mystic, a contemplative, a joyous intercessor, a quiet revolutionist, and a faithful power prayer/theologian. The combination is powerful, and we have seen weather patterns altered, children’s lives transformed, and health issues erased. We have been visited by angels with a unique and meaningful message for each of us and we have influenced people and groups outside of our own small group.
This same thing is happening at the highest levels of organizations. Leaders are being invited to come together to invite Jesus into their conversations, decisions, employee / client / vendor relationships, and every other aspect of their organization and He is doing what He does best…first deepening relationships within the group and with Him, then teaching each person in the group to rely upon Him in new and different ways, all while sharing amazing insights about the organization.
I have personally experienced:
- CEO’s hearing God clearly when they never thought they could.
- Leaders experiencing Jesus’ direct involvement in their day-to-day work.
- The Holy Spirit bringing miraculous healing.
- A deepened faith and trust in Him as He demonstrates how much He cares about us and all we do.
- Prophetic acts being obediently carried out by the leader of a geographical region, influencing the outcome of highly controversial initiatives.
- God sharing a completely new revenue stream for a client and new customers showing up within a day (multiple times).
- Debt being avoided or wiped out faster than imaginable.
- People learning about and using their spiritual giftings in group settings, realizing the power of seeking God’s answers together.
It is truly amazing to experience the community that forms around God’s communication and what happens as a result in the people and organization. As I read employee and client satisfaction survey results it seems this is exactly what employees, employers, and clients alike are seeking from the organizations they interact with!
I hope you will take a leap of faith and experiment with your own group of leaders or friends to discover more and more of His perspective on the obstacles and opportunities you face. I guarantee, if you invite Him, He will show up!
