Work used to be the hardest place for me to connect with God! After unsuccessfully trying to connect with Him on my own throughout the day, I asked God to show me where He is while I am working and how to involve Him in every aspect of my life. He answered my prayer powerfully!

At the time, I was a project manager on a website development team. Part of my job was to track client-reported bugs to ensure they were handled quickly. My team had over 24 active bugs, which is a lot for a team of 4 developers. Each bug keeps developers away from meaningful work like building new features and can be very costly, so keeping them to a minimum is a big deal.

One day, God “tapped me on the shoulder” and asked if I wanted His help with the bugs. I said yes and asked what He would like to do. He suggested I pray for His help. The next morning, there were only 12 bugs! Curious how God did this, I investigated and discovered that developers figured out fixes much faster than normal, other teams found issues with their related code, and some bugs were closed due to client mistakes.

I prayed again for God’s continued help, and the next day there were only 4 bugs! Our team remained at about 4 bugs consistently for months. Then one day, I asked God – was that really You or was it a coincidence? Within 2 days, we were right back up to 24 bugs! I thanked God for confirming His involvement and asked for His help again. Within a couple of days, we returned to 4 bugs.

I was in awe! God was DOING work for me?!!! I had never heard of such a thing. Over the years, God remained involved in my work. He arranged the timing and order of meetings, gave me ideas at the perfect time, and arranged for promotions and raises. It was amazing to experience. Every time I got stuck on something, I would pray, and He would take care of it. Eventually, I could get my job done in half the time and finally work reasonable hours. I even had time for the training I had always wanted to do!

Don’t just take my word for it! Give it a try – ask Him what He wants to do with whatever takes up the bulk of your day and see what He does! The best part for me is that this was God’s way of opening up space for me to transition to iMethod (www.iMethod.life), where I have the incredible privilege of guiding leadership teams as they integrate faith and business, seeking God’s direct guidance for growth, challenges, and building spiritually healthy organizations!
