In Genesis 14 we read about Abraham going out with 318 men to conquer 4 kings who had just conquered 5 kings.

This sounds impossible!

But when Abram returned from the battle God makes it clear what just happened…

Melchizedek blesses Abram:

“Blessed be Abram by God Most High, Creator of heaven and earth. And praise be to God Most High, who delivered your enemies into your hand.” Genesis 14:19-20

Abram is blessed because of all that God is and does.

The focus of this blessing is on:
1. Who God is (“God Most High, Creator of heaven and earth”)
2. Praising God (“Praise be to God Most High”)
3. Exclaiming what God did (“who delivered your enemies into your hand”)

Abram gets to experience this incredible blessing because he chooses to obey God consistently (but, unfortunately, not perfectly).

God recently shared with me “…the greatness within that people feel and experience…they are feeling the knowledge of the invitation I put inside of them to:
1. Be like Me (“Then God said, ‘Let us make human beings in our image, to be like us.'” Genesis 1:26 NLT)
2. Do greater things than Jesus (“I tell you the truth, anyone who believes in me will do the same works I have done, and even greater works, because I am going to be with the Father.” John 14:12)

He then shared “The pressure is on to rise up and expect great things from those around you.”

It can be easy for us to expect people around us to disappoint and fail us but God doesn’t assume this of us even though we often do disappoint and fail Him. Instead, He consistently entrusts even more to us. In today’s world of executive coaching, we see this as one of the four cornerstones of the Co-Active Coaching model (https://coactive.com):

“People are Naturally Creative, Resourceful, and Whole”.

Experience the fullness of your destiny by:
1. Recognizing God created you to be like Him
2. Accepting that you will do greater things than Jesus
3. Knowing this is available to all the people around you if they also choose
4. Receiving the blessing He has for you with your focus on who He is, praising Him, and exclaiming what He does.

Step into the impossible, it is what you were created for!
