One day God woke me up very early and shared with me that He wanted to send out 6 foundational messages to business leaders…one per day for 6 days. Here is the 1st of 6.

“Business Leaders – Success Comes From Internal Focus for the Next ‘Season’”

“Lead, Lord, in your righteousness because of my enemies – make your way straight before me.” Psalm 5:8 ESV

“Have mercy on me. Lord, for I am faint; heal me, Lord, for my bones are in agony.” Psalm 6:2 NIV

My children, the focus has been on growth and forward movement. This is where the focus has needed to be but there is a shift now for the good of the whole, including the success of the organization you lead. It is a challenging shift that requires a great deal of self discipline….but…

“Be strong and courageous. Do not be afraid; do not be discouraged, for the Lord your God will be with you wherever you go.” Joshua 1:9 NIV

In this case, where you go will be less focus on gaining new contracts, new brands, new employees. Of course you will do all of that, but with the focus of the last years being so much on growth outward, the growth that occurs next will be inward:

• Caring for your customers / clients and ensuring their needs are fully met. This is where great growth will come.
• Recognizing the inefficiencies within your organization and making improvements. Look at your operational effectiveness. Are the employees you have motivated and effective in the work they do? Can you do something to make meetings more effective? Can you “move the needle” with remote and hybrid work to increase its productivity even more? Can you find out what is important to your people so they can remain motivated, on board for the success of your organization and with the sole focus on getting the job done. Where are the inefficiencies of your systems, your processes? Where are there employees who are causing harm? What needs to be done about these situations?

I know people are drawn toward the forward path and gaining more and more but in this season, that will last a few years, the focus needs to be more balanced. As you trust Me, know that I will provide…

“Now to him who is able to do far more abundantly than all that we ask or think, according to the power at work within us” Ephesians 3:20 ESV

The last portion of this verse is the key – “according to the power at work within us”. This aligns with what is happening in the Kingdom as a whole right now. I am filling people with My Spirit and with My Power and doing great and mighty things simply by their presence. I will share more about this in future days…this is enough for now.

Dedicate yourself to knowing Me more deeply through Me living within you. Dedicate yourself to knowing your customers and employees more deeply by getting to know them and their needs more fully. This is where the next level of growth will occur.
