Jesus desires for us to be in God just as He and God are one!
“Now, Father, bring me into the glory we shared before the world began.” John 17:5 (NLT)
Jesus wants us to be in the glory He shared with God before the world began.
Imagine being in the glory of God! What would it be like? Could it compare to all we desire? Could it exceed our greatest day-dream?
If what we really want is dwarfed by the glory of God
and if
“Since he did not spare even his own Son but gave him up for us all, won’t he also give us everything else?” Romans 8:32
does it naturally follow for us to trust Him fully and completely because what He wants is even better than we can imagine?
“Now to him who is able to do immeasurably more than all we ask or imagine, according to his power that is at work within us,” Ephesians 3:20
My most emotionally painful days are the ones I wonder, plan, scheme and try to figure out my future and how to get there.
My most enjoyable days are the ones when I remember He has already done everything necessary to be able to give me what He wants for me and trust it is better than I could scheme and figure out on my own. These are the days I simply live the day with Him – knowing it will lead somewhere better than I could ask or imagine….but of course it will…because on those days, my objectives and agenda fall by the wayside and I simply get to spend the day with God!
What could be better?
