God’s Guidance in Preparing for Growth

For over 15 years, I’ve had the privilege of walking with the CEO of a tech company through seasons of growth. This past year, God spoke clearly: “Prepare for significant growth.”

With that word, we set to work—not just on business systems, but on listening closely for His direction at every step. With God’s consistent guidance, he revamped operations, refined technical processes, and streamlined the sales process. But what made the difference wasn’t just planning—it was the way God confirmed His involvement again and again.

The right employees arrived at the exact time they were needed. Cash flow stayed strong—even through high-growth months—when it easily could have been strained. My client made hires he didn’t fully understand at the time, only to see later how perfectly they fit God’s bigger plan. He faithfully reached out to an old client at God’s prompting and discovered they had expanded significantly and needed his services again.

Now, everything is clicking. Quotes go out faster, sales are closing more consistently, and engineers are not only building the company’s technical capacity but also strengthening the culture in ways no one could have orchestrated but God.

What’s unfolding is more than business success—it’s the fruit of listening to God’s voice and following His lead into growth that could never have been engineered by human wisdom alone.

The Power of Involving God

After years of traditional business coaching, a client decided to try the iMethod process. Very quickly things that were previously impossible started to happen. Detail-oriented tasks became easier and consistency increased, creating a momentum that didn’t previously exist. His leadership ability surfaced and he was able to have challenging conversations with his partner and employees, which led to positive outcomes.

After a thorough financial analysis in which God highlighted a number of necessary changes, his annual profit exceeded the prior 12 years combined.

Because of God’s guidance my client is able to continue to support numerous non-profits, clients, vendors, and employees as he shares His blessings with others.

Business Crisis Turnaround and Sustainable Growth

Jared’s company was struggling, barely breaking even each year. We did an in-depth financial review, asking God to provide direction for the company. The meeting was quite discouraging when we discovered a significant flaw in the business model, which was causing the lack of profitability. With prayer and seeking God’s guidance, Jared discovered more profitable revenue streams and ways to significantly cut costs on technology expenses. Within one month the company was profitable.

Later that year, we met to discuss their growth initiative and technology infrastructure refresh. Going into the meeting, Jared expected to incur significant debt to achieve their objectives, but God had other plans. We sought God’s guidance together, explored His views on debt, and bolstered his faith in God’s ability to provide. Within 2 days He revealed a surprising alternative! The company was able to avoid debt, add capacity for growth, AND significantly cut maintenance costs.   

Within 1 year of the initial financial review the company was more profitable than they had been in the previous 11 years. Three years later they are growing at 30% year over year. 

The best part of all the work is that Jared’s relationship and trust in God has increased exponentially. He hears Him really well now and connects with Him to seek His guidance much more easily than ever before.  

God, the Engineer

The CEO of an engineering company had reached the end of his rope because his manufacturing process was failing to produce its product within tolerances. Using the iMethod process we discovered simply needed to ask for help while recognizing that God was an even better engineer than anyone in his company…including him. Without making any changes to the manufacturing process, the next morning his product was within tolerances, and his company’s biggest contract was salvaged.

This experience helped my client realize he is not alone in the work he is doing. God is always there with him, and sometimes He does the impossible to ensure we are taken care of. This was particularly meaningful based on other tragic events my client had experienced that same year. 

Immediate Startup Support

Dan, a newly appointed CEO hired me to help him step into a leadership role well beyond any role he had previously experienced. Clearly it was a calling!

During our monthly meetings God encourages, expands, speaks to, and enlightens Dan beyond what he hears from Him throughout the month. As Dan is faithful God continues to expand his role, always staying 3 steps ahead of Him, preparing the way. It is amazing to me how specific God’s answers can be when we come to Him with specific questions!

At one of our meetings, God revealed a new line of business to Dan and then provided 2 new prospects the very next day!

God is teaching Dan how to trust Him even more than he did before. His faith is stronger than ever. He consistently takes a step in the direction the Holy Spirit says to go, even before the ground is there for them to step on and it is incredible to hear how He moves the ground to ensure it is there when his foot lands. 

Faithfully Seeking God in All Endeavors

Steve is the strongest believer I think I have ever met. He leads many organizations and desires God’s involvement in everything he does. We meet weekly for God to speak to Him, provide insights and guidance for his leadership positions, strengthen his faith, bless his home / office space, and provide spiritual leadership, spiritual warfare, and prayer support. In addition, I pray for Steve, his businesses and family throughout the week and provide insights and encouragement when God shares something specific.

Throughout the years, God has woken me up a number of times in the middle of the night to pray fervently for Steve or his family during a crisis of which I was not aware. I believe God prevented more than 1 trauma through these prayers. The work we do together varies based on the Holy Spirit’s guidance and we follow His lead as best as we can. We haven’t seen the expected breakthrough’s yet but God is clearly preparing Steve for all He has for Him. We trust in His promised each week as we seek them out. 

Political Official Transformation

James is an elected official and wants to involve God in the many tricky situations in which he finds himself due to this position. We meet once or twice a month depending on the number of meetings & committees in which he is involved. God uses our time together to challenge the “status quo” of the political process and to stop injustice that normally would have gone unchecked. He has given James the strength to speak out in a completely new way since he was elected, even when he faces opposition.

Sales Pipeline Unblocked

The CEO of a small business came to me with a block in his sales pipeline. Prospects were flowing in, quotes were received enthusiastically, and verbal go-ahead’s were given. But the pipeline was stuck at contract signing. Even after an enthusiastic verbal agreement, prospects would not sign the contracts and simply stopped responding to any outreach. This happened a number of times in a row, so the business owner asked me to help him explore the pipeline disruption with God.

During our meeting, God pointed out that my client had a debt in place that was causing issues. He had the money to pay off the debt, but the terms allowed him to pay it off over another year, which he was planning to do. God asked him to pay it off right away. In a step of faith my client paid off the debt and within 2 weeks had 3 newly signed contracts.

The pipeline blockage reversed completely, and he has not had this same issue since. This small business owner had a very real example from God on how He feels about debt and the power of faith. He also learned that by seeking Him we are able to know things that we simply cannot know without His help.

Multiple Choice

Four months into a client engagement my client told me she clearly was being called away from her company. We worked through a number of limiting though patterns and immediately three potential opportunities showed up. All three were amazing for her career and as she explored the opportunities God solidified the work we did around limiting thoughts. He challenged her to explore the opportunity outside of her comfort zone but satisfied the desires of her heart, which required the greatest amount of trust in Him.

We continued working together in her new role and the breakthroughs are incredible! The challenges are large, yet she is so much more satisfied than she expected. The road is bumpy at times and past beliefs try to pull her backwards, but God is there teaching, sharing, and bringing her to the next level.

Amazingly, during this process my client had a very real dream seeing Jesus beyond all she wanted in this world. In that moment she realized that all else will come and go, yet He will always be there.

Spirit-Led Mastermind: Four Years of Growth, Guidance, and God’s Presence

Bonus – Spiritual Adventures:

Some of my favorite sessions with clients are when God takes us on a spiritual adventure during one of our meetings. These adventures may include the Courts of Heaven (read Robert Henderson’s books or YouTube videos for more details), Divine Counsel (Psalm 82), introduction to angels who are there to minister to us (Hebrews 1:14), or “going” to heaven to visit Jesus, etc. Sometimes that kind of experience is all that is needed to transform a situation.

The iMethod process highlights God’s way of uniquely communicating with each of us. Without exception, clients discover new and different ways for God to communicate with them and participate in their lives in ways they may not have previously realized! 

While healing is not necessarily the focus of iMethod work, the need for healing inevitably comes up.

• A client discovered a much deeper relationship with God available to her that she never imagined. As the Holy Spirit joined us for so many of our conversations, He challenged her to heal from past wounds, beliefs about Him, and a religious spirit. She follows Jesus in a way she never had been able to before.

The common thread in each of these healings is simply the profound love God has for us and how His love heals.
