Client Scenario - Political Office

Value: Political office is extremely tricky and involving God in the process is essential to be able to tackle not only the challenging problems faced today but the constant opposition, potential threats, and misinformation. This work helps James keep his eyes on God who provides wisdom and assurance as he works out His plans, even when many others disagree. God also returns James to a place of peace after particularly challenging meetings or public forums. 

Structure: Prior to meeting with James, I spend time with God to discover what He wants me to share with James. James and I meet for an hour to talk about what God shared, for James to have a safe place to process the events of the meetings and committees on which he is involved, and to ask God for his direct guidance. When God shares additional insights with me between meetings, I send these to James, and he reaches out when challenging events happen so we can spend a few minutes to ground him again in God’s peace and wisdom. 

Transformation Story: While I cannot share specific examples due to the nature of this work, I can say that, because James listened to God and acted on what he heard, at least 1 specific businessperson was spared complete disaster in their business. In addition, James’ knowledge of God’s Will allowed him to position committees and conversations in unusual ways, bringing about impactful discussions that helped others think differently about the way things were previously done.

God also stretched James personally through our work when He gave him a “prophetic assignment”. What God asked of James made no sense, but he faithfully completed the assignment in service of opening new avenues to solve an extremely difficult situation. The impact of his obedience was clear as unprecedented events fell into place. God used this experience to remind James of his unique ability to influence his jurisdiction for the Kingdom without bringing religion directly into the public conversation.

Investment: James generously invests $250 of what he is paid for being in political office to cover for preparation, a 1-hour meeting, and prayer / messages in between meetings.
