Client Scenario - Leadership Team
“Our work together has shaped my thinking both professionally and personally and has been instrumental in my leadership growth.”
Leadership Growth Client
Jared builds upon the Business Growth work (see details here) by investing in his leadership team’s growth. Since Jared’s team is not faith based, we invite God into the work through prayer before meetings and through “promptings” God gives Jared or me during the meetings.
Value: As the CEO, Jared has so much weight on his shoulders. By facilitating this Leadership Team work I am able to remove some of this weight while he maintains significant influence. Each individual leader is also discovering an ability to lead in ways they hadn’t realized possible, and the organization is being transformed by having a clearly defined and shared focus.
Structure: Leadership Team work is designed to ensure intentionality, a cohesive focus, and communication while elevating and encouraging each leader. We do this through:
- Bi-Annual goal setting strategy: Twice a year the leadership team comes together to explore how to impact the success and growth of Jared’s organization and its people. We brainstorm, prioritize, set, and ensure capacity to complete the desired goals.
- Monthly leadership team meeting: Each month the entire leadership team meets together to celebrate successes, explore and work through obstacles, handle tricky management / leadership issues, and ensure progress toward organization wide goals. Inevitably, unexpected or urgent projects come up between the bi-annual goal setting process and we avoid “goal overwhelm” by prioritizing new projects next to current goals and making strategic adjustments.
- Monthly Department Leadership Meetings: Jared and I meet individually with the operations and technical department leads once a month to provide encouragement, support, and feedback on areas of growth while working through sub-goals, inefficiencies, and opportunities specific to their department.
- Individual Coaching: I meet once a month with one of Jared’s leaders who is new to his leadership role and is thriving as he receives coaching designed to help him grow into this new role.
- Preparation: Jared and I meet briefly before the leadership meetings to solidify the agenda, ensure I am aware of any delicate situations, and discuss specific areas he wants to influence during the meeting.
Transformation Story:
- Jared’s leadership team is completing goals the organization has talked about wanting to accomplish for years.
- The leadership team has experienced a significant increase in cohesion, leadership acumen, motivation, and engagement.
- Jared now has a leadership team that “has his back” and is working cohesively toward the goals he knows are most important for the organization, its client and employees.
Investment: Jared invests $850 per month plus approximately $1,000 for each set of bi-annual goal setting strategy sessions.
